Being honest, chai is not a drink but a complete personality. I can even afford to skip dessert; however, I cannot afford to skip my chai. When I heard of a pretty little tea room with more than 70 types of tea, I decided that I would visit it personally.
First Impression? Calm, Cute & Low-Key Magical
The first impression that I got when I entered Tea Villa Cafe was that it was so quiet and calming. No loud music, no hurly-burly atmosphere, just cozy lights, contemporary design, and that slight smell of freshly made tea in the air. I even stood in the doorway a moment because I had the impression it was the sort of place one goes to when you have to take a break from life (or noisy Starbucks).
I picked one of the corner tables and took out the menu… and frankly, I was flooded in the most desirable manner.
The Tea Menu Took Me A While (No Regrets).
Finally, I decided to visit Irani Chai, and I must say, it was a safe option, but after the first gulp of tea, I was happy I did. It was cold brewed, warming, and had just what I needed when I got back to my room after a long day. My friend took the White Rose Tea, and I did have a taste (benefits of friendship). Light, flowery, and oddly calming.
I heartily understand that I will be coming back to the Orange Blossom Oolong since once you have seen that amount of choices, you cannot visit it on just a single occasion.
Coffee & Snack Warrant A Shout.
Although I went to have tea, I could not resist selling their Nutella cappuccino—and it was great. Indulgent and creamy and certainly not a beverage you take in the finest manner. Combine it with their Chilli Cheese Toast, and we found ourselves sitting there much longer than we had anticipated, just chatting, sipping, and declining to leave.
Why I’d Go Back
Tea Villa Cafe is one such place that you find yourself returning to again and again, either on a one-on-one date, an intimate chat, or a time when you simply need to sit and have a warm cup of tea in your hands. It is serene, it is a work that is not so hard, and it allows tea to be the protagonist.
I entered to take “one cup only” and already had the plans to come again.
