1. United Coffee House Rewind- For That Classic, Old-School Coffee Aura.

https://www.instagram.com/unitedcoffeehouserewind

United Coffee House Rewind is going to strike the right chords in case your BFF is the type of person who loves to think about how he was born in the wrong time (it was probably the 60s). The cafe itself is retro without pushing it too much, old-world furnishings, old-lights, comfortable seats, and the background music that will slow you down naturally and keep you listening longer when it is soft.

Their coffee menu is massive, and the king of this is their Viennese Mocha. Rich, sticky, and a touch melodramatic- it is the sort of beverage that ought to make an appearance through a search light. I have ordered it once I had an extremely busy and hectic morning in CP, and it really did feel like a cup of therapy.

On the food front, the Cheese Balls, Classic Chicken Stroganoff and Cold Mezze Platter are sure successes. Servers are hefty and you and your BFF can hog-share without any embarrassing spoon etiquette.

The best part? The atmosphere is appropriate to all moods: a we-have-to-have-a-talk lunch, a lazy coffee date, a pre-shopping caffeine shot before going to the inner circle.

It is classic and not too earthy – and at times, that is all you need on a long, talky coffee date.

2. Café Heights Delhi -The place where coffee and giant portions are made with comfort.

Café Delhi Heights is the type of place where you have entered in, thinking that you will only go in to get a one-hour coffee, only to find that it is two hours later and you have already exchanged life-stories, small talked, fashion opinion, and maybe even had a pastry.

It is a relaxed and lively atmosphere, which is not over-noise but not too quiet to talk. The baristas of theirs are well trained on how to create an incredibly strong cappuccino -the type of cappuccino that seems to be energizing your soul quicker than your alarm clock does in the morning. In the case of hedonistic beverages, the Nutella Shake is a complete character trait.

I have sat here once with a friend at least having a cup of coffee and we ordered their well known Juicy Lucy Burger during 11 AM. Zero regrets.

The menu is enormous, and even the most finicky diners will have something to enjoy, whether it is sushi, pizza, or cozy North Indian snacks.

The best part? It is one of those cafes where you can sit and spend hours without an angry glare of the employees directed at you. The chairs are comfortable, the setting is cozy and the coffee is always excellent.

When your BFF is the one who enjoys long debates and long brunches, then it is a no-brainer.

3. Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters -Beta: Coffee-Snob Friend.

Should one of your best friends happen to be a walking- talking caffeine expert (Is this single-origin? Does this roast have a calibrated grinder?), Blue Tokai in CP is the place that will give them peace.

This is where coffee becomes a reality, clean minimalist interiors, freshly roasted beans and that smell of roasted coffee which hits your nostrils, even before you are allowed to sit down. I was at one point visiting one winter evening and spent 90 minutes inhaling the aroma as though it was scented therapy.

Their Pour-Over, Syphon or Cold Brew are great options when you are artistic. However, the truth is that their Flat White cannot be beaten, creamy, so bold and harmonious as a good friendship.

The food is easy, fresh, and extremely I care about my gut — consider Sourdough Toasts, Smoked Chicken Sandwich, Almond Croissant, and an iconic Chocolate Tart.

The atmosphere is intimate and silent – ideal to talk with someone, have a heart-to-heart talk, or just watch people as they pass by the huge glass windows.

And, in case you and your best friend are fond of a coffee experience that is not filled with nonsense, then this is like home.

4. Starbucks (CP Middle Circle) – Sometimes You Want to Know Comfort.

Starbucks in CP is not Starbucks in CP. It is that particular CP energy, buzzing, warm, and never quite put together in an irritating manner.

It is the place where my BFF and I have spent one rainy afternoon having a Cinnamon Roll, sipping Caramel Macchiatos and talking about the umbrellas of people outside the window. Zero regrets.

It is very roomy, the beds are cushy enough to sink into, and the employees are truly adorable (although they will misspell your name and say it with affection).

On a whim to something fascinating, there is the Spanish Latte or Mocha Cookie Crumble. When you are in basic mood the traditional Cold Coffee will never let you down.

It is the ideal “we should meet an hour and have a bite to eat at a cafe that somehow ends up a three hour visit. And honestly? The latter are the best types of coffee dates.

5. The Coffee Bean and Tea leaf- A Smooth, refined coffee date.

In case your best friend likes quiet spaces, less noisy atmosphere, and coffee that will not be bringing back the memories of the time when people were rushing to take it, CBTL is your savior.

The atmosphere is posh yet casual, with low-key lighting, polished wooden flooring and those cushiony couch chairs that keep beckoning you to take your seat and open up.

Their Hazelnut Latte is something to be tried it is smooth, nutty, and slightly sweet. I had ordered it on a really bad day once and came out as a functioning human being.

The slowness and relaxed nature are what makes CBTL the best place to go on a BFF date. There is no one who is in a hurry, the music does not shout at you, and the food (their Chicken Pesto Sandwich and Blueberry Muffin, in particular, is always good).

It is ideal in the case of long talks when you require effective caffeine, cozy atmosphere, and emotional comfort in the shape of baked products.

6. Cha Bar -Bookstore+ Coffee=Underrated Magic.

When you and your BFF are the type that can discuss the merits of the world over the course of three hours and even during your sentence you felt like you would have forgotten your name because of a book title held your attention back, Cha Bar is your home.

Once one enters Oxford Bookstore, a cocoon of literary sanity is encircled within the insanity of CP. The second you enter, there is a sudden silence of the outside, and in its place, one can hear soft rustle of pages and the drip of cups.

Their menu is giant – teas, coffees, all shapes and kinds and snacks that you will find yourself getting just to sample. Personally, I would recommend the Masala Chai + Grilled Chicken Sandwich combo. Consoling, cozy and ideal on rainy afternoons.

The best part? The vibe allows your chat to go wherever you want it to go breakups to career crises to OMG look at this book cover! I was once sitting here with a friend who had a stressful week and I found myself purchasing a book which I did not really need, but felt lighter because of the coffee.

When you need to have a slow, slow, emotionally nourishing coffee date with someone, come here.

7. Caffe Tonino -That Cute, Warm, European Café Feeling.

Knowing that you might wish to have a European style coffee date but in your place, without, say, having to fly to Europe, Caffé Tonino is as close a CP is going to give you. Cozy atmosphere, wooden decor, plenty of wood, slightly romantic smell of the coffee that makes you speak lower.

Their Espresso Con Panna is simply unbelievable pure espresso with a smile on top that whipped cream. The first time I tried it was after a frosty evening of a meeting in CP and the initial bite of the drink made it seem like someone had embraced me.

The food itself is the flexibility: Thin-Crust Pizzas, Pasta Alfredo, Caprese Sandwich, and those buttery Croissants that shatter everywhere and taste like angels.

It is one of those cafes that cause loss of time. The employees are not hovering around and the music is not loud, the atmosphere is calm enough to have a heart-to-heart talk with your friends or a long-overdue catch-up.

When your BFF is aesthetic and loves taking his or her time over breakfast, this is where you will want to go.

8. The Art House Café- Creative Souls and Colourful Conversations.

The Art House Café resembles the Pinterest board taken by a person, spiced with coffee, and made it personal. Bright colours, wall art of oddity, pleasant lighting it is a creative bubble in the centre of CP.

The location is fun and energetic and is ideal with the friend who speaks with exclamation marks (OMG, look at that wall!). I have been to BFF this one time when my BFF was on a bad week, and the ambience of the place put them in a good mood even before the coffee was served.

By the way: their Café Mocha is a good choice, not too sweet, not too powerful, and very reliable. Order it together with their Chicken Quesadilla or Peri Peri Fries and then have yourself a mini-therapy session fueled by caffeine and carbs.

The thing so good about this cafe is that it is a place where one can have extended and verbose conversations, the ones where you overstretch your hands and laugh too much.

Full of sunshine, feel good on the days when you and your BFF need colour and caffeine.

9. Coffee Date With a Dash of Vibe Warehouse Café (Coffee Section).

Warehouse Café is not just an ordinary quiet-coffee shop, but when you are in need of energy in your coffee, light lighting, and drama, then this place is the best fit.

Imagine a rustic interior, cozy lights, expansive areas and some background music that puts an OST on your conversation. Their coffee section is also surprisingly good the Classic Cappuccino is bold, frothy, and a real mood-setter.

One time I came to this place after a tiresome CP shopping spree and my legs were so numb and my energy spent and that cappuccino made me want to live.

The café is ideal when it comes to fun BFF dates – the ones, when you talk quickly, share bites, laugh a lot, and possibly have a dessert even though you did not want to.

Food is solid: Nachos, Burgers, Pizza, and a sinful Chocolate Dessert Jar, that is illegal but worth it.

In case your BFF likes cafes that are lively and social, and not quiet and delicate, Warehouse is the best choice.

10. Café Pluck ( Pullman Hotel, CP Extension ) – “Luxe Coffee, Not Full Fine Dining.

In the event you desire to treat your BFF to a small treat without having to invest in a 3-course affair, Café Pluck is the ideal mid-way location. It is hotel polish, low light, high ceiling, and that cool and classy effect which automatically slows your heart.

They have a Café Latte which is so stupidly smooth, creamy, balanced, and quite addictive. I had once when I was waiting to meet with a friend who was late by 20 minutes and I did not even complain since the atmosphere was so calm.

Food is very well presented – consider Avocado Toast, Fresh Oven Breads, Egg Florentine and Berry Bowls that have Instagram-ready looks.

When you need a long, adult talk with a person that you care about, this is the place where you go to. No hurry, no clatter, no hustle, no bustle, no racket and a cozy atmosphere.

11. Café Hawkers – “Relaxed, Hustle-Free and Ideal to have Long Conversations.

Café Hawkers is one such establishment which is easy to call cool without being too fancy, not too noisy, simply a cool cafe in CP, which you spend hours and hours and cannot even notice it.

Their Iceed Coffee is fresh and surprisingly powerful. I have once caught one on hot summer day and was alive again after two sips.

Food is approachable and home-like – Chilli Chicken, Veg Momos, Hakka Noodles, Hot Chocolate Brownie, everything is familiar in that sense of I have been having it since college.

It is also a fabulous choice if you are looking to have a relaxed BFF meet-up -the one where you do not need the fancy atmosphere and can just sit back and chat, have a bite to eat and people-watch by the window.

12. Café Te Amo (CP Extension) – “Warm, Cosy, Romantic Vibe Coffee Date with BFFs”

Café Te Amo is a place that makes you feel like you are being hugged by someone, the colours are soft and the seats are comfortable and that is that quietness that makes you want to have a long conversation.

Their Caramel Latte is the most spectacular one, it is warm, sweet and admits only on rainy days or emotional discussions. The first sip of the drink was actually a mental reset button after I once came here after a horrible, exhausting day.

Food is better to share — Garlic Bread, Pasta Arrabbiata, Chicken Steak and some dangerously good Belgian Waffles.

It is the best place to have a conversation with the intent to discuss the whole issue at once, relationships, work drama, future plans, random overthinking, everything.

In case your BFF is a person that you can spend hours talking to without even glancing at the time, then this cafe will be your home.
